Bylaw Review 2021

Mission:

The Bylaw Review Committee shall be responsible for collecting, gathering and recommending changes to the local bylaws and policy document.

Objective:

Bylaw Proposal Information:

Bylaw Proposals will be accepted starting June 2, 2021. Download the Bylaw Review form, fill it out, and return it to the committee by August 31, 2021 at 5:00 pm.

You can print the file and fill it out by hand, fill it out electronically, or do a hybrid of both (fill it out electronically, then print, sign, and attach the file/image to an email).

General Notes:

  • The current bylaws are available by clicking here.

  • Any member can submit a bylaw proposal (or several). This includes members in all workplaces and those on leave for any reason.

  • There is no limit to the number of proposals any member can submit.

  • Proposals can be signed by more than one person or each person can submit the same proposal.

  • Bylaw proposals that contradict our constitution will not be considered.

  • Your proposal can reference a specific numbered bylaw, but this is not necessary.

  • Your reason can be as short or as long as you like. However, if it is not clear, we may follow up with you.

  • If you are filling it out electronically and do not wish to print it, type your email in the signature field. Please note, the email must match what is in the membership database.

  • If you choose to print the file, you can scan it or take a photo with your phone and email it in. Either method is appropriate to submit the proposal.

  • You can fax or mail the proposal in as well.

  • Proposals must be submitted and received by the office by August 31, 2021 at 5:00 pm. Late submissions will not be accepted. So if you are mailing it, please allow for sufficient time for the item to arrive at the office.

  • Download the file.

  • Open the file.

  • Click on each of the fields (highlighted in grey).

  • Note: You will not be able to edit any portion of the document except to enter text into the fields.

  • Fill in the fields.

  • Save the file (you may wish to rename it appropriately).
