Nomination and Election of Local 2-S Executive for 2027-2029

The process has once again begun to elect the new Executive for the 2027-2029 term. We are asking you to seriously consider nominating qualified individuals for the following positions.

If you need more information, or have questions, contact Shaun May, Ryan Heit or Jaclyn O'Handley. You may mail the form into the Local office or send an electronic copy to elections@uniforlocal2s.ca.

The tentative schedule for nominations and elections are:

President - Nomination Form
Nomination: September 10 - September  20
Election: September 22 - October 1
Count: October 2

Vice-President
Nomination: September 28 - October 7
Election: October 9 - October 18
Count: October 19

Secretary
Nomination: October 16 - October  25
Election: October 27 - November 5
Count: November 6

Treasurer
Nomination: November 2 - November 10
Election: November 13 - November 22
Count: November 23

Group Reps
Nomination: November 17 - November 26
Election: November 30 - December 9
Count: December 10

NOTE: In the event of an election, all Executive positions must be won by a minimum of 50% plus 1 vote. For Group Reps and Stewards, a simple majority of votes will decide the victor.

In the event of runoffs, the Election Committee has the right to modify the scheduling of the above nominations and elections.

Elections of Stewards will take place in late 2026.
